The guiding principle of all the Edward’s League levels is to develop well-rounded and informed students. Each stage of the method is designed to help improve speaking, reading, listening and writing – the four basic language skills.
Ages 11-12, level A2/A2+
Young learners start the course at level A2 (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). They work on improving all the language skills and develop a sense of purpose in what they are learning. Under the guidance of a supportive teacher and in a relaxed environment, they can enjoy the learning experience while making steady progress towards language proficiency.
Ages 12-13, level A2+/B1
Students are immersed in the extensive, challenging language material and improve their fluency and accuracy as they benefit from being exposed to a wide range of authentic language content. Clearly defined objectives and engaging teaching resources help to boost their motivation to learn. As students are encouraged to work together in class, they all become more involved in the learning process and develop greater independence.
Ages 13-14, level B1/B1+
Students have an extensive vocabulary and a command of advanced grammar and are ready to take international examinations. With systematic feedback, they are dedicated to consolidating their skills and aim for full linguistic accuracy when communicating in English. They are capable of setting their own learning goals and are becoming fully competent users of English.
Designed for pre-teens and younger teenagers aged 11-14, Edward’s League is the final stage of a learning pathway that starts with the Teddy Eddie method for 2 to 7-year-olds and progresses to the Savvy Ed method for older children aged 8-11.
